Project was a double winner in the Wood Awards 2008.
Shetland Museum and Archives
This landmark building houses Shetland’s historic artefacts and archive material. The contract was won against interest from nationally based contractors. The project was built during 2004/06 on the Lerwick waterfront at North Ness, adjacent to Hay’s Dock. The project also involved the restoration of the dock walls, finger pier and pier store. Local photographer Mark Sinclair documented the restoration and construction of the Museum as an 'Art on Site' public art project. View his stunning photos here.
